Online lawsuit filing

A web service allowing plaintiffs to file a lawsuit with any arbitration court in the country online opened this week, Vedomosti reported Tuesday, citing a Supreme Arbitration Court spokesman.

The service, located at My.arbitr.ru, requires the complainant to fill out several forms to file the lawsuit and allows up to 10 megabytes of relevant documents to be attached, the spokesman said.

Applications will be processed in two days, but further court proceedings will require additional paperwork, the report said. Still, the service will help complainants who are pressed for time, have to file a suit in a different region or want to avoid long lines, it said.
