The legal auditor and the protection of IP for American SMCs

A complimentary invitation from an important society of American lawyers to represent small and medium-sized companies (SMC) in Brazil and to investigate, ascertain, report, take administrative, police and judicial action against possible counterfeits, forgeries, violations and the piracy of products, trademarks, copyrights and commercial secrets produced by such SMCs and to which they hold title, led the legal auditor, before accepting such representation, to conduct a study, albeit perfunctory, of those legal concepts in their country of origin.
